An online and in-gallery accompaniment to The Interface Experience: 40 Years of Personal Computing, this web application provides a deeper understanding of the history of each device and the connections between them. Descriptions, images, videos and data profiles elaborate on the interconnectedness of companies, technologies, and people involved in the evolution of personal computing. In-gallery, visitors to the exhibition were able to access the same object information via a keypad that mimickeds a traditional audio guide interface, allowing users to input a “stop number” from the wall label to pull up additional information and media associated with a given piece in the show.
