The Rubin Museum Tibetan Buddhist Shrine Room presents more than 100 scroll paintings (thangkas), sculptures, ritual implements, and musical instruments dating from the 12th to 21st century are arranged on traditional Tibetan furniture according to their use in Tibetan Buddhist practices.
The interactive can be used in the exhibition space or as an online interactive on the Rubin’s website. Visitors can explore objects more closely through detailed descriptions and photography, and for some, 360-degree views. QR codes allowed users to access a mobile-friendly version and connected visitors to the more thorough online collection pages for the objects on the Rubin website.
